Gas quality

With the gas quality measurement based on gasQS™ technology, relevant process parameters are measured continuously. For all applications in which knowledge about the quality of the gas is important, Mems AG develops and optimizes economical measuring systems that exploit the full potential of the gas.

Of course, the gasQS™ technology can also be used directly in customer-specific devices. Customers such as the fuel cell manufacturer Hexis use measuring instruments developed especially for them. We would be pleased to provide you with a personal offer in case of an inquiry.

Technology

Mems uses microthermal sensors based on the calorimetric principle for its gas quality analysers. These sensors allow the measurement of thermal conductivity, heat capacity and with an additional flow measurement through a critical nozzle, the density. These physical sum parameters are used to infer gas quality factors such as the air/gas ratio, the methane number, the Wobbe index or the calorific value. It does not require any knowledge of the gas composition and is fast, small and robust compared to common process chromatographs.
